'Amidst the Flowers' was a highlight of 2016 for me. The film was written and produced by Berend, a talented Dutch filmmaking student at Oxford Royale Academy on the Future Filmmakers programme. I've been collaborating with the good people at ORA for 10 years now, looking after their media and filmmaking programmes such as Future Filmmakers and summer Film Academy. Quite simply they are a brilliant company. 'Admidst the Flowers' was a film that came from the collaboration of Berend and Bruce Windwood, who regularly teaches for ORA as well as being an independent film producer. Bruce wrote the score for the film as well. We were also ably supported by all the talent and crew who made it possible, working on reduced fees, so big thanks to them. Future Filmmakers gives students the opportunity to work with a pro crew in the great location of Yarnton Manor. If you want technical details, I shot the film with a Canon C300 and a range of Canon lenses. Lighting was Kino Flow Divas, Dados, and a Gekko LED light panel.
